Luton, Dunstable & District League honour top netballers

The Luton, Dunstable & District Netball League honoured their top players at their AGM with the awards being dished out by chairperson Sue Kemp.

Red Devils were crowned Premier Division winners with 7-Up Green runners-up. The Division One title went to Crawley White Tornadoes with A-Line Flyers in second place, while Dallow Saracens were triumphant in Division Two, with 7-Up Yellow runners-up. Black Pearls won Division Three with Eclipse finishing second, while Division Four went the way of 7-Up White with Dunstable Diamonds in second.

The Divisional Cups saw Red Devils beat 7-Up Green for the Premier Division gong, WG Shefford defeat Crawley White Tornadoes in Division One, 7-Up Yellow get the better of TW Jeffers in Division Two, Eclipse see off Black Pearls in Division Three and in Division Four, Dunstable Diamonds beat 7-Up White.

Crawley White Tornadoes snared the Goalscorers Cup, while Eclipse took the Defenders Shield.

Meanwhile, the Mick McDonald Umpiring Award was presented to Brenda Howe.
