Luton suffer Bracknell defeat

YOUTHFUL Luton Rugby suffered their seventh-straight defeat as they were beaten 16-8 at Bracknell in National League Three London & South East on Saturday.

Rik Hobbs forced his way over to give Luton the lead at the break.

But 11 points from the boot of Ben Nowak in the second half and a try from Steve Bryant proved too much, although Jake Harris did kick a penalty for Luton.

Bottom-placed Luton host London Irish Amateurs this weekend.

Vauxhall Motors enjoyed a fine 14-5 friendly win at Leighton Buzzard IIIs at the weekend.

Having gone 5-0 behind, Motors hit back to win with nine points from the boot of Aaron Wilde and Ashley Stewart’s try.

This Saturday they travel to RAF Molesworth Maulers in the Waggledance Merit League.

Dunstablians and Stockwood Park had this weekend off in Midlands Two East South.

On Saturday, Dees travel to Huntingdon & District and Park to Oadby Wyggestonians.
