Merola lands a fine mirror

At North House Lake, Mark Merola landed a 21lb 4oz mirror while at the same venue James Bishop had a 17lb 1oz common, Scott Larman a 16lb common and Matt Butler a 26lb 7oz mirror.

Father and son duo Phil and Samuel Urquhart ventured on to North House for the first time with 12-year-old Samuel tempting a 17lb 8oz mirror and Phil a 12lb 8oz common.

Both fish were caught on Sams home made chod rigs with Starmer Coconut Fish boilies.

Phil also caught a jack pike using a King Of The Pond baby pike lure.

On the adjacent South Lagoon, David Bosnan managed a 6lb tench along with 20-25 bream up to 5lb.

Further afield a group of Beckerings regulars are currently fishing a five-day session at Elphicks Fishery and Mark Ridgeway landed a personal best carp of 37lb followed by another PB at a massive weight of 55lb 10oz with both fish falling to Starmer Coconut Fish boilies.

Luton AC fished an Inter Club match against Ampthill AC at Cooks Wharf.

Pat Mills (Luton AC) was first with 11lb 9oz of skimmers and quality roach on pellet, while S Wills (Ampthill AC) came second with 10lb 8oz and Rob Latham (Luton AC) was third with 10lb 6oz including a 4lb bream.
