New Luton Rugby chief puts emphasis on community

New Luton director of rugby Paul Allen is determined to put the club back into the community this season, writes Mike Simmonds.

Allen, a former Bedford Blues player, who was most recently backs coach at National Three London & SE club Hertford has taken over at Newlands Road.

The club is holding a registration day on Sunday, September 2, starting at 10.30am and Allen said: “I would like to see our existing members re-sign, while also inviting new players to join too.

“We have youth teams starting from U7s and will be looking to run three senior sides next season too.

“There will be plenty of entertainment and an Olympic theme to the event too.”
