Osborne motors to victory

SEBASTIAN Osborne wowed the crowds at the latest Luton and District Moto-Cross event at Old Park Farm in Toddington over the weekend.

In the Expert race, he was the first to take on the ‘Barney’ challenge, a step down double, created in the week leading up to the event.

Osborne cleared the jump with ease, moving up from eighth to second, but the consistent ex-British champion, 47-year-old Greg Hanson, dominated from lap three to take the first Expert Moto.

The next Expert to take on the jump was Devon rider Ryan Pryor, another who made it look easy, to finish third.

Race six, the second Expert Moto, was dominated by high-flyer Osborne, with Ashley Thomas second, and Dave Frankland third.

By the third Expert Moto, a few more were taking the jump on and, with Michael McClurg making it look easy, he had his best result of the day to finish third, behind winner Thomas and second-placed Osborne.
