In-form Stockwood Park pulverise Northampton Casuals

Stockwood Park maintained their 100 per cent record in 2014 as they surged to a 59-19 victory at Northampton Casuals in Midlands Three East South on Saturday.

Park notched up five tries in the first half through Jack Brooks, Paul Harman, Casimir Abaka, Nick Neubert and Tom Readfern to lead 33-0 at the break.

Chairman Jason Carr said: “The boys played very well today and really clicked as a team. The training is paying off and things are looking good for the rest of the season.”

Park ran in a four more tries in the second half through Abaka, Michael Powell and James Hankey, who grabbed two, while Carr slotted over a total of seven conversions.

Casuals’ three tries all came in the second half, but they rarely threatened Stockwood’s domination of the game.

Stockwood’s man of the match was number eight Rob Hartley. They host Northampton Mens Own in the league this Saturday.
