Squash stars head to Luton

A host of top class players were on show as Luton and Dunstable Squash Club’s first and second teams clashed in an early Beds League match last Monday.

Top of the bill was Commonwealth Games gold medallist and world number 17 Adrian Grant, who played upcoming star and world number 50 Adrian Waller.

In front of a packed crowd, Grant justified his favourite tag as he ran out a 3-1 winner against his younger opponent.

The two had clashed earlier in the year at the O2 Arena in the British Open where Grant had also proved too strong.

This time around Waller put up a real fight in what was a fast-paced encounter.

Grant ultimately showed just that little bit more experience after some exceptional rallies.
