The visitors started brightly with a sustained spell of early pressure, but the Park defence held firm with skipper Jamie Hoque leading from the front.

After 12 minutes Park turned defence into attack with a sharp break from scrum half Alex Lovell taken on by Michael Powell and Jack Brooks and Dees eventually conceded a penalty which Steve Pollock converted for a 3-0 lead.

Gradually the Park forwards gained ascendency, particularly in the set pieces, and with Tom Edmunds, Rob Rose and Ben Griffen prominent they turned possession into position.

Eventually, pressure told and Pollock went over out wide for a try and an 8-0 half time lead.

Dees hit straight back after the break as Mattie Anderson sped over with Kevin Boland converting, cutting the lead to a single point.

Park forwards continued to pressurise through the half and after a succession of scrums and rucks on the Dees line, lock Powell dived over in the corner.

With the forwards now on top and captain Hoque marshalling a solid defence, Park were able to maintain their 13-7 lead through to the final whistle.

The win moves Park up to third in the league with a difficult trip to Rugby St Andrews next week, while Dees travel to Northampton BBOB.
