SWIMMING: Luton swimmers impress for Mid Beds
A small contingent from Mid Beds Swim Squad, sponsored by LV=, competed in the Team Luton Autumn Open Meet recently.
The meet attracted the best swimmers from all over the country, including British Olympic star Daniel Fogg and Paralympic champion Ellie Simmonds.
James McFarland, 12, from Harlington, recorded two personal best times from four events and finished in the top 10 in three of his events, including sixth in the boys 11-12 400m Individual Medley.

Hide AdAnother small contingent of Mid Beds swimmers travelled to Leicester to compete in the Leicester Distance Meet.
Edward McFarland, 10, from Harlington, recorded a PB to finish eighth in the 200m freestyle heats and make the final.
There, he took another two seconds off his time to clock 2.41.98mins as he came eighth.
McFarland also finished 10th in the 200m IM with a PB.
