SWIMMING: Team Luton triumph at John Honey Trophy Gala

Up against the hosts, plus Dunstable, Flitwick and Linslade Crusaders, Team Luton dominated the gala and finished in first place with 223 points, 17 ahead of their nearest rivals.

There were some very close races and relays events as in the 50 events, Team Luton achieved 16 firsts, 11 seconds and 12 thirds.

In the team events, the girls 9-11 4x50m freestyle relay team won gold as did the 4x50m medley relay team.

There were also first places for the girls U13 4x50m freestyle relay, plus the boys U13 4x50 medley relay and the girls 10/11 50m freestyle in a time of 32.59secs.

Meanwhile, there were seconds for the ladies open 6x50m freestyle relay team, plus the mens open 4x50m medley relay side and the U13 girls 4x50m medley relay team.

Team Luton also finished third in the Ladies Open 4x50m medley relay, plus the U15 girls 4x50m freestyle relay and 4x50m medley relay along with the U13 boys 4x50m freestyle relay.
