Team Luton set a host of personal bests

Team Luton swimmers set a number of new personal bests and county qualifying times at the Linslade Crusaders Last Chance Open meet in Bletchley at the weekend.

Nine-year-old Meghan Davis won gold in the 50m butterfly in 45.44secs and swam a seven-second PB in the 200m breaststroke to win bronze and achieve a county qualifying time.

In the 10-year-old age group Emma Kelly swam a stunning 200m individual medley (IM) in 3.28.40mins to earn silver and a 12-second personal best. She also won bronze in the 50m breaststroke and 50m butterfly with a county qualifying time. Shannay Davis swam an 18-second 200m backstroke PB to claim bronze.

Eoin Compton took silver in the 200m IM in 3.26.85mins and Alfred Mureithi achieved the county qualifying time in the 50m backstroke.
