Turley brothers impress in Rickmansworth

DUNSTABLE Tennis Club member Jacob Turley reached the final 16 in the Rickmansworth Open U14 boys singles event.

He beat Shaunak Raizada-Sidhu 6-3, 6-0 in the first round, but then went out to Jake Davies 6-2, 6-1.

Younger brother Ben took part in the U12 event and defeated Thomas Milford 6-0, 6-1, before also losing in the last 16 to Theodore Kontos.

Both also played in the Cambridge LTC Easter Tournament, with Ben beating Colin Tuchel 6-0, 6-0 before losing to third seed Charlie James 6-1, 6-2 in the second round.

Jacob easily beat Rory Dixon 6-1, 6-1 but went out to fourth seed William Cooke-Wharton 6-2, 7-5.
