Ward crowned Britain’s strongest man once more

Lutonian James Ward was crowned Britain’s strongest man at U90kg for a fourth consecutive year in Tamworth last month, before triumphing in the same section at the European event in Northern Ireland at the weekend.

A total of 13 competitors were in action in Tamworth over the six events as the 28-year-old amassed 76 points to triumphed by 20 points and qualify for the World’s Strongest Man U90kg competition in Finland in May next year.

Ward said: “It meant a lot to win for the fourth time.
