Ward is the strongest at Euros

Lutonian James Ward lifted the title of Europe’s Strongest Man U90kg in Letterkenny, Ireland at the weekend.

The 27-year-old took part in seven events including pulling a mobile home, car deadlift and barrell carry, eventually triumphing over stiff competition from runner-up Shay Ryan who is Ireland’s reigning U90kg champion.

The competition went right to the final Stones of Strength event, but both men lifted three out of five stones, as Ward came out on top.
