Woodgate excels at Parliament Hill

Having already finished a wonderful fifth in the South of England Championships in Brighton at the end of January, Woodgate surpassed even his own high expectations by finishing fifth against the best athletes in England.

He was just 30 seconds behind winner Jonny Hay, of Aldershot Farnham and District, and missed out on fourth by a mere second.

There was only 10 seconds covering fourth to seventh places as Woodgate clocked 32.21mins, and he will now represent Bedfordshire in the Inter-Counties Championships at Cofton Park, Birmingham, on March 10.
