YOUTH FOOTBALL: Barton Rovers U12s defeated by Leighton

Barton Rovers were well beaten 7-1 by a very good Leighton United side in U21 Division One of the Bedford & District Sunday League, Johnny Wilmot scoring Rovers’ consolation.

Toddington Rovers beat Barton Rovers 5-1 in U17 Division One of the Chiltern Youth League, while Barton Rovers drew 3-3 with Bedford FC in U15 Division One, and in Division Three Barton Rovers Blues lost 4-2 to Caddington.

AFC Luton went down 6-2 to top-of-the-table Samba at Lothair Road. Having gone two goals down early on, Tom Burns pulled one back for AFC before half time.

AFC conceded again, before Tyrese Lungay and Mohamed Dyfan combined to give Dyfan his third goal of the season.

However, three late goals from Samba gave them victory.

Mark Bull and Luke Gladwell continue to make steady progress for AFC.

Barton Rovers Blues produced another superb performance to triumph 4-0 at Wilstead Harriers in U14 Division One with goals from Brandon Drake, Connor Haddow, Myles Rampley and Henry Snee, while Shane Phipps and Cameron Sharp had outstanding games.

A high-scoring game in Division Two saw Luton Borough beat Barton Rovers Blues 6-3.
