Children’s toy amnesty

CHARITABLE children donated their old toys to charity at a special toy amnesty at Snakes and Ladders, joined by mascot Leon the Lion on Friday January 13.

Cuddly Leon was on hand to lend a helping paw at the Blackburn Road indoor play area as children handed in teddies, games and books in aid of Keech Children’s Hospice.

Snakes and Ladders director Dingle Kirkwood said: “We see the Toy Amnesty as an ideal way to raise much needed funds for some very worthy charities.

“Over Christmas many children will be inundated with new toys and what better way to make room for them than by passing the old ones to charity?”

All the toys will be donated to Keech Hospice Care to be sold in their charity shops.
