Nightlife: Matt's Easter party will pack a Punch!

Some of you may well recognize my name from your old stomping days at venues like The Coliseum, The Zone, The Ritzy and off course the legendary Charlie Browns where I spent many years at these venues as the resident DJ.

I started writing a Hot Gossip column for the Luton News many years alongside Luton @ Large which has recently gone to an online publication only. Looking at Luton’s appalling late night entertainment scene and the limited exposure these few venues get from the local press , I took it upon myself to approach one of The Herald & Post’s editors offering my expertise in this field which was met with open arms, so here I am again after all those years covering local events at your local clubs and bars.

Unfortunately due to the climate change there are only a handful of venues remaining offering any form of entertainment to their customers , one of these venues is The Carnival Arts Centre where a few local lads calling themselves Taste The Punch have put on a string of events at this venue which has really kept Luton’s night life alive , they have brought an amazing string of artists to town that you would on really expect to see in London.

On Thursday, March 24 Taste the Punch have the legendary Matt Jam Lamont at their special Easter Punch Party to be held at The Carnival Arts Centre Luton.

Matt is certainly the best DJ to ever emerge from Luton. On this night he comes home to support his former town gracing the turntables with some of his own production both new and old. Matt is certainly on of Europe’s most respected DJs, often gracing the decks in Berghain Berlin, Pacha Ibiza and still continues to present his awesome Kiss FM radio show.

Matt will be supported from our finest local DJs in town , Too Tall, Nigel Clarke, Wez Clarke, Call Me Kay, Harks, Reverb, Lewis, CK Francis, Paul Malcolm, Huntsman, Relative Audio, Paks, Syuus and 86 deep, now that’s an awesome line up not to be messed with!

Tickets for this event start from £8 and are available from www.tastethepunch.com.
