Five new instances of coronavirus have been confirmed in Luton over the past 24 hours, according to Public Health England.

The total number of infections in the borough now stands at 1,541 (+5).

Elsewhere in the county, Central Bedfordshire has 1,266 (+1) cases while Bedford's figure stands at 1,330 (+6).

Across the country, there have been 300,111 infections at an increase of 685 over the past 24 hours.

45,759 people have died with coronavirus in the UK, up by 7 since yesterday.
