Luton suffered a 2-0 defeat against an upwardly mobile Cardiff City on Tuesday night after falling to a quickfire second half brace. Harry Wilson put the visitors ahead on 53 minutes, while Will Vaulks then added a second just moments later as Town couldn't hit back. To find out how the visitors rated on the evening, see below.
1. Simon Sluga: 7.5
Made a brilliant early save from Vaulks, turning his low shot away. No chance with Wilson’s excellent strike, but did well to deny the Liverpool midfielder a second. Wasn’t helped by his defence from standing off Vaulks to make it 2-0.
2. Matty Pearson: 7
Chosen in a right wing-back position to maintain Town’s physical presence against an imposing Cardiff side. Was doing just that until a tight hamstring forced him off at the break and Luton never looked as comfortable.
3. Tom Lockyer: 7.5
Was settling into the game well, playing a marvellous cross for Collins who really should have done better from close range. Unfortunate to injure his ankle when stopping a Cardiff counter and tried to soldier on, but just couldn’t continue.
4. Sonny Bradley: 7
Fortunate that Moore didn't pounce on a pass out of defence, but played his part in keeping City at arm’s length for the first half. Wasn’t the same in the second period and didn’t get out quickly enough to shut down Wilson.
