Luton and play-off hopefuls Reading cancelled each other out during a 0-0 draw at Kenilworth Road last night. The Hatters went close through Jordan Clark in the first half, while James Collins might have won it at the death with a header, but Nathan Jones' side did extend their unbeaten run to three games. To find out how the hosts rated on the evening, see below.
9. Alfie Doughty: 7
Played all over the pitch on a night where Town suffered with injury. Started as one of Luton’s attackers, going close to his first goal for the Hatters when Lumley saved his low daisycutter. Moved to right wingback when Bradley went off and then switched to the left after Lockyer had to be substituted as he put a real shift in to complete a second successive 90 minutes. 10. Harry Cornick: 6.5
Back in the starting line-up for the first time at home since the Coventry game, as he partnered Adebayo upfront. Had an early sighter when found by Bree, but ended up side-footing wide for a throw-in. Toiled as best he could against the Royals defence and as Luton lost players to injury, ended up in an unusual right wingback role, as he dug in to last the full 90. Photo: Liam Smith
11. Elijah Adebayo: 7.5
Forward appeared to flourish as the main man in the first period, as he was responsible for the majority of Luton’s dangerous moments, denied by Lumley and then combined well with Doughty for his low effort. Ensured Town kept the Reading defenders honest, holding the ball up well and did his job defensively too, as he tried his hardest to find a way through after the break. Photo: Liam Smith
12. Luke Berry (SUB): 7
On after just half an hour with Bradley injured, getting his first outing for two months. Picked out on a few occasions when making some of his excellent trademark runs into the box, his touch letting him down, whereas had he been fully match-fit, it might have been a different outcome. Minutes will do him the world of good though. Photo: Liam Smith
