Luton's valiant comeback was in vain as they fell to a 3-2 defeat at West Bromwich Albion on Saturday. After Kal Naismith put through his own net early on, Callum Robinson and Karlan Grant made it 3-0 to the hosts, before late goals from Harry Cornick and Pelly-Ruddock Mpanzu saw Town fall just short in their bid to snatch an unlikely point. To find out how the visitors rated on the afternoon, see below.
9. Fred Onyedinma: 5
Didn’t get anywhere near to replicating his inspired display against Peterborough last weekend, as bar drawing the odd foul from his markers and one breakaway, he didn’t really feature in the contest, replaced by Lansbury at half time.
10. Harry Cornick: 6
Struggled for an hour to get into the game, but once he and the Hatters did, looked a different prospect. Coolly slotted home a second of the season after a defensive error and denied his brace by a last-gasp block, Mpanzu netting the rebound.
11. Elijah Adebayo: 5
Up against a vastly experienced duo in Bartley and Clarke as he really struggled throughout, unable to hold the ball up or offer the Hatters an outlet as he has done. Eventually substituted but will no doubt learn plenty from a match like this.
12. Henri Lansbury (SUB): 7
Came on at half time and his cool head when in possession allowed Town to gradually impose themselves on the game, stretching the play well. Set-pieces caused some danger too.
